The summer meadow is the big play week as part of the vacation program of the Office for Social Work, wi&you Schöne Ferien.

It offers a variety of outdoor play, exercise and creative activities. These include a giant water slide, a ninja course, water games, small carousels, a beauty palace, theater and music workshops, a play mobile, hands-on arts and crafts activities and quiet retreat areas for reading and relaxing. There are also daily changing activities such as yoga, creative workshops, theater performances and clown visits. All stations are supervised by specialists.

Another focus of the program is the daily stage program: the talent show and the children's Olympics with Herbert and Jimmy take place here regularly. On Tuesday, July 8, the Galli Theater will present a children's play at 4 pm. On Wednesday, July 9, and Thursday, July 10, Clown Babu and Mr. von Bauch will be performing. The Summer Meadow concludes on Friday, July 11 with a children's disco with Herbert and Jimmy.

Admission is free for all activities and pre-registration is not required. The event is taking place for the 22nd time this year.

Even after the summer meadow, the vacation program continues: in the second to sixth week of the vacations, "Schöne Ferien vor Ort" takes place in several Wiesbaden districts - Monday to Friday from 3 to 7 pm. Children between the ages of six and twelve can spontaneously take part in arts and crafts, games and sports activities free of charge - without having to register.

The 3rd International Carousel Festival from 15 to 17 August in the Kulturpark am Schlachthof will conclude the city's vacation program. Visitors can expect a varied program with music, theater, hands-on activities and much more.
