The summer months of recent years have shown that climate change has arrived in Wiesbaden. Heatwaves are becoming more frequent, longer and more intense, affecting our health and well-being.
The summer months of recent years have shown that climate change has arrived in Wiesbaden. Heatwaves are becoming more frequent, longer and more intense, affecting our health and well-being.
In order to better counter the negative consequences of summer heat, a heat action plan has been developed under the leadership of the Environmental Agency.
The heat protection measures benefit heat-sensitive elderly people, but also sick people, babies and small children, pregnant women and homeless people during acute heat phases.
The heat action plan provides information about heat protection and heat hazards and raises awareness among the general population. It is regularly evaluated and expanded to include needs-based heat protection measures.
Here you will find various heat protection measures for different target groups:
General population
Babies and toddlers
Daycare center children
Pupils and students
Homeless people
Residents of accommodation for refugees
Senior citizens
