Building permit for Nassauer Hof handed over
Andreas Kowol, Head of the Building Department, and Sandra Matzenauer, Head of the Building Inspectorate, presented the building permit for the "Conversion and revitalization of the Nassauer Hof Hotel" building project to developer Dirk Iserlohe on Friday, 27 March.
On Friday, March 27, Andreas Kowol, Head of the Building Department, and Sandra Matzenauer, Director of the Building Inspection Office, presented the building permit for the "Renovation and Revitalization of the Nassauer Hof Hotel" project to Dirk Iserlohe, Managing Director of the property owner and Chairman of the Supervisory Board of the future operator, Hotel Nassauer Hof GmbH. The hotel complex, parts of which are protected as cultural monuments, is to be completely renovated, restructured, partially demolished, and rebuilt.
“With this building permit, we have created the conditions for a defining element of the historically significant ‘Fünfeck’ urban complex to be revitalized in a way that is both respectful of its heritage and sustainable for the future,” said Andreas Kowol, emphasizing the importance of the project.
“We are happy and proud to have reached this important milestone. My special thanks go to everyone involved who made this decision possible through their great commitment, strong sense of responsibility, and clear understanding of the significance of this building for Wiesbaden,” says developer Dirk Iserlohe.
Sandra Matzenauer also praises the trusting and constructive collaboration among all parties involved: “This allowed the building inspectorate and the local historic preservation authority, together with the client and their architect, to find effective solutions for this challenging and complex construction project.”
The project involves the reorganization and modernization of the hotel area in the main building on Wilhelmstraße and at Kaiser-Friedrich-Platz, as well as in the north wing on Webergasse. In addition, the Webergasse wing will be expanded by two additional floors. The historic facade of the building on Wilhelmstraße and at Kaiser-Friedrich-Platz will be renovated and redesigned. A glass dome will be installed on the sixth floor, modeled after the original. This will preserve an architectural and urban landmark for the state capital of Wiesbaden in a prominent location across from the Kurhaus.
