The project was carried out as a joint venture between the Department of Environment, Green Spaces, and Transportation (responsible for planning, execution, and financing), in cooperation with the City Planning Office (concept development) and SEG as trustee for urban renewal. 

The existing staircase had a closed, uninviting effect due to the large concrete surfaces and massive concrete balustrades. With the modern new construction of the parking garage and the redesign of the staircase, Schützenhofstraße now has a contemporary, modern look. The transparent design significantly improves the quality of the space.
