Civic Engagement Week
Under the theme “Shaping the Future Together,” the action week from September 11 to 20 highlights the diversity of civic engagement in Germany.
Clubs, initiatives, organizations, and institutions are hosting more than 40 events and activities to invite people to discover and highlight the diverse opportunities for volunteer work in the city. The varied program in Wiesbaden and its suburbs ranges from a children’s bicycle parade to introductory events, workshops, and guided tours, as well as various support services for young and old.

Civic Engagement Week
The week is organized by the Federal Network for Civic Engagement. The “Engagement macht stark!” campaign aims to highlight and celebrate the diversity and importance of civic engagement. The nationwide Week of Civic Engagement is the centerpiece of the campaign and, with around 20,000 events most recently, is Germany’s largest volunteer initiative.
