St. Mary's is a neo-Gothic basilica with a nave and two aisles (without a clerestory or a transept) with an octagonal choir in the nave (30m high) and two side aisles (20m high), a cross-ribbed vault, eight columns with Corinthian capitals and eight shafts. Hugo Schneider was the master builder of this church, which was consecrated in 1876. There are two neo-Gothic windows on the west side from 1910 (13th and 14th stations of the Way of the Cross) and from 1916 (Life of the Virgin Mary: 12-year-old Jesus in the temple, flight to Egypt). The Coronation of the Blessed Virgin by Josef Henseler of Köln-Longerich (1954), the Annunciation and the Incarnation by Hermann Gottfried (1982) are to be seen in the choir, Baptism and Confirmation are found in the baptistery (1974) and the Eucharist and the Resurrection (1977) are in the Sacrament Chapel, all by Josef Henseler. The lamb and the pelican under the Pietà come from the old Communion pew (1867), Christ as a teacher from the old pulpit, which was donated by Eugenia Kreitz. She also donated statues of Mary with the Child and St. Joseph. The organ (with parts of the old organ by Heinrich Vogt of Igstadt, from 1894), was built by the firm of Hugo Mayer of Heusweiler in 1981 and enhanced in 2005.
