Concept and objectives

At the end of the German Foundation Day 2025, a festive evening event was held at the Kurhaus Wiesbaden on May 22. The aim was to offer the participants an atmospheric and convivial opportunity to exchange ideas, meet and celebrate after intensive days at the congress - embedded in the elegant ambience of the Kurhaus.

The German Foundation Day 2025 in Wiesbaden impressively demonstrated how a successful combination of modern congress center and historic venue can create an inspiring framework for exchange within the foundation sector.

Implementation and spatial concept

Reception and dinner

  • The reception for around 800 guests began at 18:30 in the Kurhaus foyer.
  • The subsequent dinner was served as a lavish buffet in several of the hotel's salons - including the Winter Garden, Salon Kaiser Wilhelm, Fyodor Dostoyevsky Hall and other elegant adjoining rooms.

Ballroom with dance floor

  • Together with the Christian-Zais-Saal, the Friedrich-von-Thiersch-Saal formed the center of the evening event:
    • Standard stage, dance floor and ball seating provided a festive setting.
    • Due to the high demand, the Christian-Zais-Saal was also rented at short notice - a flexible extension that was realized just one week before the start of the event.

Party and finale

  • From 10 p.m., the event developed into a lively finale with an exuberant atmosphere, polonaise and lots of dancing.
  • The evening came to a lively close at around 2:45 am - with consistently positive feedback on the organization, atmosphere and the entire event.

Logistical challenge and solution

Parallel event: Ball of Wine

  • Just two days after the Foundation Day, another major event took place at the Kurhaus in the form of the renowned Ball des Weines - with all rooms fully booked.
  • The challenge was the tight timing of set-up and dismantling, personnel and furniture logistics as well as delivery times.

Solution: dual use & precise coordination

  • The seating plans in the Friedrich-von-Thiersch-Saal were designed almost identically for both events.
  • The seating for the Wine Ball was delivered before the Foundation Day and used for both events.
  • Close coordination with all trades and staggered deliveries ensured that everything ran smoothly despite the tight schedule of events.

Conclusion

The successful balance between elegant atmosphere and logistical precision was particularly convincing - for example through the short-term expansion of the room planning or the parallel coordination with the Ball of Wine.

The Kurhaus Wiesbaden once again proved to be the festive highlight of the event at the German Foundation Day 2025: with its historic ambience, impressive hall combination and flexible use of space, an unforgettable evening was created for around 800 guests - from reception to dancing.
