Text concert with Silvie Schenk and Heribert Leuchter: "In anticipation of happiness"
Wednesday, October 8 at 7:30 pm at the Literaturhaus
When the German-French writer Irène is admitted to hospital with a suspected stroke, she is soon given the all-clear, but still has to undergo a series of tests. She describes her new hospital routine with a sharp tongue, gets to know her roommate Ada and meets a strange patient whom she only calls the "frog man". She not only reflects on her own writing, but also on life, love and death. Sylvie Schenk is accompanied at this text concert by the composer and music producer Heribert Leuchter. Together they create a special atmosphere in which words and music flow artfully into one another.

Tuesday, October 14 at 7:30 p.m. in the Other Salon of the Literaturhaus
On the dice, get set, go! With her new book "Spielen", Karen Köhler invites you to play a game and get moving and take action. This interactive "bookplay" involves the audience light-heartedly and easily in the concept of "play" and gradually releases the tension of life's seriousness. In the end, the question arises: Is the whole of life perhaps just a game after all?

As his mother's ashes are slowly swallowed up by the Wannsee, a year of transformation begins for Marian: his journey takes him to Plaza Konami, Sapporo, New Delhi and Wolfsburg. In his new book, Leif Randt takes an optimistic look at sad farewells and invents the coming-of-middle-age.
