One is an artist, the other an author. Hannah Höch and Til Brugman meet and fall in love at a vernissage in the 1920s. Together they move to Til's apartment in The Hague, then to Berlin, where the last party sounds of the Weimar era slowly fade away. The political climate became harsher and life together increasingly difficult for the two women, which not only affected their private lives, but also left deep marks on their work as artists.
