Swimming of the divers in the Rhine

On Sunday, May 4, the Wiesbaden professional fire department is once again organizing the traditional swimming event for divers in the Rhine.

The swim is to be used to collect donations for a charitable cause. Donations will be made to "Bärenherz". "Bärenherz" is an initiative that has set itself the goal of running a hospice for seriously ill children in Wiesbaden. It is the first children's hospice of its kind in the Rhine-Main region.

All spectators interested in diving and firefighting are invited to the swim. The swim will take place on Sunday, May 4. The divers will meet at 9 a.m. in front of Biebrich Castle in Biebrich on the outside grounds (east wing), Rheingaustraße/Am Schlosspark. The starting signal for the current swim will be given at around 10 am. Drinks will be provided during this time. The proceeds will also be donated to the "Bärenherz" campaign. The river swim ends at the Schierstein harbor tip.

In addition to the Wiesbaden professional fire department, the Mainz professional fire department, the Hessian riot police, the DLRG, the Main-Taunus district of Hofheim, the Maintal-Dörnigheim volunteer fire department, the Limburg volunteer fire department, the Aschaffenburg volunteer fire department, the Boehringer Ingelheim plant fire department and the InfraServ Wiesbaden plant fire department will also be taking part in the swim.
