Completion of construction measures
From Friday, May 2, traffic will flow again via Frankfurter Straße, Lessingstraße and Dotzheimer Straße.
As district heating pipes were being laid in Viktoriastrasse, Frankfurter Strasse was closed on one side with traffic lights. This construction measure was successfully completed on Friday, May 2.
The access road to Lessingstrasse and Friedrich-Ebert-Allee at Lessingstrasse were fully closed because supply lines were being renewed there. The work here has also been completed.
The renewal of a water pipe on behalf of Hessenwasser GmbH in the area of Dotzheimer Straße will even be completed a week ahead of schedule. In the coming week, however, the lane divider will be restored, so there will still be minor restrictions here. However, Carl-von-Linde-Straße will be fully accessible again. In Holzstraße, work will continue seamlessly with the laying of the water pipe, so the full closure will remain in place.
The state capital of Wiesbaden would like to thank all residents and road users for their understanding and patience during the construction work, which is aimed at improving the city's infrastructure and ensuring a reliable supply of drinking water, gas and wastewater.
A city's infrastructure is crucial to its quality of life. In addition to a functioning sewer network, a modern and safe city also needs a reliable supply of drinking water and gas as well as a well-developed road network.
