The Waste Management Authority of the State Capital of Wiesbaden (ELW), ESWE Versorgung, and the Civil Engineering Office will be renovating the sewer, utility lines, and road surface over a 370-meter stretch between Albert-Schweitzer-Allee and Mühlhauser Straße by the middle of next year. 

As part of this project, the water main between Hagenauer Straße and Äppelallee—which had to be disconnected two months ago—will be restored within the next four weeks. This will stabilize the hydraulic system and improve the reliability of the water supply. 

Due to the necessary work, traffic lanes will be reduced and roadways narrowed on Äppelallee. The left-turn lane onto Hagenauer Straße and toward Albert-Schweitzer-Allee will be closed. For traffic coming from the west, a detour route via Friedrich-Bergius-Straße will be set up; appropriate signs will provide information. 

The bus stops “Äppelallee,” “Paul-Friedländer-Straße,” and “Malmedyer Straße” on Hagenauer Straße in the eastbound direction will be temporarily closed. Replacement stops will be set up on Rathausstraße in front of house number 8 and on Rheingaustraße in front of house number 123.

This phase of construction is scheduled to be completed on Friday, September 25. It will be followed by the next phase of the coordinated effort between ELW, the Civil Engineering Office, and ESWE.
