The detour toward Wellritzstraße/Helenenstraße will remain in place as previously established. The so-called Bus-S (from Friedrichstraße toward Bleichstraße) will continue to operate. The “Platz der Deutschen Einheit (A)” bus stop must be relocated. The temporary bus stop is located on Schwalbacher Straße near house number 36.

A particular challenge in the new construction phase is the former underpass leading to Platz der Deutschen Einheit. It must be crossed. First, special steel protective pipes will be installed across the structure using core drilling. Each pipe has a diameter of 70 centimeters. They serve to protect the district heating and water pipes that will later run through them. ESWE employees will be the last to catch a glimpse of the underpass: once their construction work is complete, the underpass will be completely backfilled and sealed. This work is being carried out in close consultation and coordination with the Civil Engineering and Surveying Office.
