Pleasure, culture and family program in the city centre: summer market opens
The Wiesbaden Summer Market will once again take place on Mauritiusplatz from Monday, June 1 to Monday, August 31. Visitors will find a meeting place with regional and international specialties, a cultural program and free offers for families during the Hessian summer vacations.
Mayor Christiane Hinninger: “The Summer Market is a real asset to our city. Now in its seventh year, it offers a special place for enjoyment and culture right in the heart of downtown. Wiesbaden residents with children appreciate the Summer Market for its free family program during summer vacation.”
Under the motto “Summer. Sun. Good Vibes,” the Summer Market invites visitors to linger every day. The market setting, featuring plenty of wood, seating areas, and plants, creates a retreat right in the heart of downtown. The Summer Market combines a vacation vibe with a shopping atmosphere and serves as a meeting place for guests from Wiesbaden and the surrounding region.
Culinary offerings once again feature a wide selection: from regional specialties and Hessian classics to Mediterranean dishes and international fare. The gastronomic concept is complemented by summer drinks, wines, strawberry punch, as well as vegetarian, vegan, and gluten-free dishes.
The Summer Market also offers a variety of cultural activities: live music, DJ nights, artistic performances, stage shows, and themed evenings create a diverse program of events for all generations. Artists from Wiesbaden as well as international guests provide special moments under the open sky and make the Summer Market a place for people to come together.
This year, there is a special focus on the free family program during the Hessian summer vacation. Children and families can look forward to puppet shows, face painting, and hands-on activities. This makes the summer market a popular meeting place for families and vacationers even during the day.
The Summer Market is open daily from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. during the specified period, and on Sundays from 12 p.m. to 10 p.m. Otto Barth Jr. (Taunus Wunderland) is responsible for event management and operations. The Summer Market is organized by Wiesbaden Congress & Marketing GmbH.
