Starting signal for city cycling
To kick off the annual city cycling campaign on Sunday, May 31, the Cycling Office of the State Capital of Wiesbaden and the ADFC Wiesbaden invite you to a bike tour followed by a picnic.
The event will kick off at 3 p.m. at the Schiller Monument on Warmer Damm, behind the State Theater, with a start signal from Andreas Kowol, Head of the Transportation Department. The approximately 5-kilometer route winds through downtown and the Nerotal valley to the Kulturpark at the Schlachthof on Murnaustraße. The route has few inclines and is suitable for all ages. Cyclists will be accompanied by the police. Starting around 4 p.m., a large picnic will take place in the Kulturpark at the Schlachthof, featuring music, ice cream, and specialty coffees, as well as information about City Cycling.
Until Saturday, June 20, everyone who lives, works, goes to school, or belongs to a club in Wiesbaden is invited, under the motto “Covering Miles Together,” to travel as many routes as possible by bike and collect kilometers.
