City-internal data room
The internal data room enables efficient data exchange between city administration offices.
Efficient data exchange in the LHW
A lot of data is processed in the city administration - some of it is public, some of it needs to be protected.
The internal data room is a secure, digital place where employees of the administration can exchange and share important, non-public data. This includes, for example, sensitive, sensitive information ("closed data") that may not be published for various reasons.
In addition to the data room, work is currently underway to implement an open data platform: In future, data will be published there that is accessible to everyone - i.e. citizens, companies and the scientific community.
With the internal data room, the city ensures that sensitive information can also be passed on securely and in compliance with the law.
A tendering process is currently underway to find the right technical provider for the internal data room. This process should be completed by the end of 2025.
The advantages:
- Enables data exchange between offices
- Improves data quality
- Accelerates data-based decisions
- Creates transparency and accessibility for city administration employees
Who benefits from it?
- Administration: Offices, departments, companies and municipal enterprises can work together more easily and better on an interdisciplinary basis.
