Youth parliament election
The election date for the next youth parliament election is February 16, 2026.
Every two years, young people who are entitled to vote elect their representatives.
The basis for the election of the youth parliament is a resolution passed by the city council.
It was elected for the first time in Wiesbaden on November 26, 2009.
The Youth Parliament consists of up to 31 directly elected members who represent the interests of young people in Wiesbaden vis-à-vis the municipal bodies and their committees as well as the local councils. Its members are not bound by orders or instructions. All Wiesbaden residents between the ages of 14 and 22 are eligible to vote, regardless of their nationality.
The election to the Youth Parliament is conducted exclusively as an online election. This means that every eligible voter will receive the access data at home and can then take part in the election online. Anyone wishing to stand for election must send their application to the Office of the City Council by November 27 by email or post; the contact details can be found on the application form.
