Violations of the Road Traffic Regulations (StVO)

Violations of the Road Traffic Regulations (StVO) involving fines of up to 55.00 euros are handled exclusively by the Road Traffic Office’s fine processing department.

If you receive a letter offering a fixed penalty, you have one week to respond. If you accept the fine offer by paying it, the proceedings end there.
If you do not accept the fine offer, the case must be transferred to the Central Fines Office at the Regional Council in Kassel.
