Municipal Housing Service

The Housing Placement Office is responsible for registering households seeking housing and allocating publicly subsidized housing in accordance with legal requirements.

Housing Assistance

The Housing Assistance Division is the authorized housing assistance agency within the meaning of Section 25 of the Hessian Housing Assistance Act (HWoFG) and, among other things, the allocation authority for housing construction projects targeting low- and middle-income households. Here you can find information on the state subsidy programs administered through WIBank, as well as on the supplementary municipal subsidy program of the State Capital of Wiesbaden. Please submit applications for construction projects and subsidy requests for all housing subsidy programs to us.

Housing Counseling

The Housing Counseling Service offers advice on accessible construction and living, as well as life-situation-oriented housing counseling. The Accessible Design and Living Advisory Center provides expert and free advice on all questions related to accessible planning, construction, and living. The life-situation-oriented housing counseling service, which is supplemented by a digital apartment exchange platform, offers advice on apartment exchanges as well as suitable support options.

Urban Development Funding

The “Social Cohesion” funding programs in Schelmengraben, on the Gräselberg, in Biebrich-Mitte, and in Westend, as well as the “Vibrant Downtown West” funding program, are managed by the Housing Department—in some cases in cooperation with SEG Stadtentwicklungsgesellschaft Wiesbaden mbH.
