Accompanied driving from the age of 17 (apply online)

⚠️ "There may currently be technical restrictions when applying for a driver's license online. Our software provider has already been informed and is working hard to solve the problem as quickly as possible. We ask for your understanding".

You can submit an application for supervised driving starting at age 17 for a Class B driver’s license at the driver’s license office with jurisdiction over you.

The online application even features a “selfie” function that allows you to upload a photo. Biometric data is secured using software from the Federal Printing Office.

The applicant’s identity is verified conveniently and securely via the activated online ID function of their national ID card, electronic residence permit, or eID card, or via the Federal User Account. You can also authenticate yourself using the online ID function via the temporary login of the Federal User Account even without a user account (log in as a guest). Then please select the ID document (German ID card with online function, electronic residence permit, EU citizen card) and enter the corresponding PIN.

The application requires information about the accompanying persons (name, address, date of issuance of the driver’s license, etc.), as well as their consent and signature. The legal representative must also consent to the application and confirm this with their signature.
