The Wiesbaden Driver’s License Office is responsible for all matters related to driver’s licenses and the issuance of taxi and rental car permits. To use the services of the Driver’s License Office, you must be registered as having your primary residence in Wiesbaden.

: The Driver’s License Office will be closed on September 10 and 11, 2026, due to a training session.

However, we will still be available by phone:
• Thursday, September 10: 9:00 a.m.–3:00 p.m.
• Friday, September 11: 9:00 a.m.–1:00 p.m.

Driving
bans fall under the jurisdiction of the fines authority. Driver’s licenses cannot be turned in to the Driver’s License Authority for safekeeping.
