How can we design services so that they are simple, understandable, and intuitive for people to use? Under the theme “Beyond Boundaries: Enabling Solutions That Shape Tomorrow,” the Service Design Global Conference (SDGC26) will bring together leading industry experts at the RheinMain CongressCenter (RMCC) in Wiesbaden from October 28 to 30, 2026. The event is a central highlight of the World Design Capital Frankfurt RheinMain 2026.

Service design is not about designing products, but about optimizing everyday experiences. How does a smooth doctor’s visit work? How do we use digital services from companies or government agencies without frustration? The conference provides the opportunities and methods to transform complex challenges into practical, sustainable solutions that directly improve people’s quality of life.

SDGC26 is part of the World Design Capital (WDC) Frankfurt RheinMain 2026. The WDC is a major international event that highlights the importance of the design industry in the region and positions Wiesbaden as an attractive location for creative industries.

The conference is organized by the Service Design Network (SDN, founded in 2004). This is the global umbrella organization for this design discipline. Each year, the conference moves to a different global city. This year (October 28–30, 2026), Wiesbaden will host the event at the RMCC.
