Rail noise action plan

According to the Federal Immission Control Act, the Federal Railway Authority (EBA) is responsible for a nationwide noise action plan that affects the main federal railroad lines with more than 30,000 train movements per year.

The noise action plan is updated every five years. Detailed information on noise mapping and noise action planning can be found on the website of the Federal Railway Authority. Citizens can also find out how they can participate in the revision process. In addition, the website provides information on noise reduction measures and subsidy programs for sound insulation.
