Rail noise action plan
The Federal Immission Control Act requires the creation of a noise action plan for Wiesbaden. According to this law, the Federal Railway Authority (EBA) is responsible for a nationwide noise action plan covering the main federal railroad lines. These routes have more than 30,000 train movements per year.
Noise action plan for rail and industry
The noise action plan is updated every five years. Detailed information on noise mapping and noise action planning can be found on the website of the Federal Railway Authority. Citizens can also find out how they can participate in the revision process. The site also provides information on noise reduction measures, noisy freight wagons and funding programs for noise protection.
