Learning support
Learning support from school social work for children is an offer within the framework of education and participation for schoolchildren in grades 1 to 4.
Tutoring comes to the child
Learning support right at the elementary school.
Children should receive support exactly where their learning needs become apparent: at school.
Through the program “Tutoring Comes to the Child,” the Office of Social Work brings BuT learning support directly to elementary schools.
In collaboration with the school, school social workers, children, parents, and external learning support providers, a low-threshold support program is established on-site. The support is aimed at children in grades 1 through 4 who are at risk of falling behind in their learning goals and takes place in small learning groups—particularly in the subjects of German and mathematics.
The benefits:
- Support provided directly at school
- Convenient access for children and families
- Assistance with the application process
- Central coordination of all participants
- Early support in a familiar environment
This allows us to reach and provide targeted support to more children who are entitled to education and participation.
Application for Education and Participation
