Committees meet

In the coming week, several committees of the city council will meet in public session. More information on the meetings can also be found at piwi.wiesbaden.de.

The Committee for Women, Equality and Safety will meet on Tuesday, May 6, from 5 p.m. at City Hall, Schlossplatz 6, in the City Council meeting room. Following a report by the LGBT*IQ Coordination Office, the meeting will cover topics including "Power outage precautions", "Rescue service school - status and further procedure", "Status report on the immediate 'Safety at events' program", "Parent cabs at schools" and "Situation of women's shelters in Wiesbaden".

The meeting of the Committee for the Environment, Climate and Energy will take place on Tuesday, May 6, from 5 p.m. at City Hall, Schlossplatz 6, Room 22. Topics of the meeting include "Containment of the raccoon population", "Lockable organic waste garbage cans", "Explanations on the aircraft noise calculation Airfield Erbenheim/SEM Ostfeld", "KLIMA_PLAN", "Used clothing container capacities in the city area", "Concept paper on public toilets in Wiesbaden", "Feasibility of sanitary facilities and drinking water dispensers at Wiesbaden playgrounds" and "News from Department III".

The Audit Committee will meet on Wednesday, May 7, from 5 p.m. at City Hall, Schlossplatz 6, in room 318 on the third floor. The agenda includes the topic "Application for the establishment of a file inspection committee on Wivertis".

The meeting of the Committee for Social Affairs, Integration, Housing, Children and Family begins on Wednesday, May 7, at 5 p.m. in the Town Hall, Schlossplatz 6, Room 22. After the presentations of the "Language and Cultural Mediators" project by WIF e.V. and the work of Spiegelbild's anti-discrimination advice service, the topics discussed will include "Mental health of children and young people in Wiesbaden", "Numbers of refugees referred to the state capital of Wiesbaden", "Advice center for barrier-free housing" and various proposals from the annual meeting with the Inclusion and Accessibility Working Group. There will also be a report on current developments in the social, integration and housing sectors.

The Committee for Mobility will meet on Thursday, May 8, from 5 p.m. in the town hall, Schlossplatz 6, in room 22. The agenda includes the topics of "Rail transport", "Interim balance 30/40 km/h", "Preservation of cobblestone road surfaces and their more barrier-free and bicycle-friendly refurbishment", "Reactivation of the Aartalbahn", "Bus and bicycle acceleration", "Exemptions from the regulations of the road traffic regulations of the state capital Wiesbaden" and "Status of the Kaiserbrücke access spindle".

The Committee for Schools, Culture and Town Twinning will meet on Thursday, May 8, from 5 p.m. at City Hall, Schlossplatz 6, Room 301. The agenda includes the topics "Recommendation for a resolution by the Cultural Advisory Board 'Cultural exchange with partner cities'", "Evaluation of cultural advertising", "Finding cultural spaces" and "Drinking water supply at Wiesbaden schools". There will also be a report from the USA town twinning working group.

The meeting of the Committee for Volunteering, Civic Participation and Sport will start on Thursday, May 8, at 5 p.m. in City Hall, Schlossplatz 6. The venue is Room 318 on the third floor of City Hall. The meeting will cover topics including "Presentation of the Hesse Consumer Advice Center", "Presentation of the participation portal wiesbadenwirkt.de" and "Input on military facilities".
