Municipal job center

Basic income support for job seekers (Social Code Book II, SGB II) is intended to enable eligible recipients to lead a life consistent with human dignity.

The state capital of Wiesbaden implements SGB II through the Social Benefits and Job Center at the Municipal Job Center (KJC). The KJC consists of the following divisions:

In this department, basic material security is ensured through the provision of both ongoing and one-time livelihood benefits.
  • Municipal Employment Agency
The municipal employment agency advises job seekers and those seeking apprenticeships on issues related to integration into the labor market. Clients are supported here in their integration into the labor market.
  • Employer Services
The Employer Services department supports employers in recruiting and selecting staff. It places job seekers in suitable positions.
  • Benefits for Education and Participation (BuT)
As part of the BuT benefits, participation in cultural, sports, and recreational activities, among other things, is funded for children and young people under the age of 18.
  • Equal Opportunity
Officer Systematic service processes and integration programs are established, particularly for women with specific needs regarding the balance between work and family life.
