The photo must be brought along in printed form.

• Driving license (if the applicant is not in possession of an EU driving license, an additional photo is required - it must be exchanged for an EU driving license)
• Transcript of the driving license (list of driving license data if it was not issued in Wiesbaden). This file card copy can be obtained from the authority that issued the current driving license. A file card transcript is not necessary if the applicant already holds an EU driving license.

Holders of a pink or gray paper driver's license must first exchange it for a card driver's license. Please refer to the page Exchange!

The international driving license can also be applied for by a third party, provided that the third party can present a corresponding power of attorney and an identity card or passport.

In order to use the services of the driving license authority, you must be registered as having your main place of residence in Wiesbaden.
