The Wiesbaden Driver Licensing Authority is responsible for all matters relating to driving licenses and the approval of cab and hire car concessions.
In order to use the services of the Driver Licensing Authority, you must be registered as having your main residence in Wiesbaden.

Many services can already be completed online.

• The Wiesbaden driving license authority will be closed from 24 December 2025 to 1 January 2026 due to the Christmas holidays.

Driving bans fall under the supervision of the fines authority. Driving licenses cannot be handed in for safekeeping at the driving license authority.
