Wiesbaden start-up prize "StartAward" 2026

The StartAward is the start-up prize of the state capital Wiesbaden. It will enter the next round in 2026 and is aimed at courageous founders with innovative and novel ideas. In addition to prize money, there is support through visibility and access to a strong start-up network.

So you're in...

Founding in Wiesbaden

The StartAward Wiesbaden is open to all full-time and part-time startups founded in 2021 or later that are headquartered in Wiesbaden. A creative idea or the fact that you’ve overcome significant obstacles can earn you valuable points on your way to winning the StartAward Wiesbaden.

Three founders will be honored each year. First place comes with a prize of 10,000 euros, second place with 7,500 euros, and third place with 5,000 euros.

Starting up from university - Ready to go

All students enrolled at a university in Wiesbaden can apply to "READY TO GO" with their business idea. First place will receive 1,500 euros, second place 1,000 euros, and third place 500 euros.

Special prize "Female Founders"

In addition, the "Female Founders" special prize, worth 5,000 euros, will be awarded from among all the startups that have applied. A separate application is not required.


Your three steps to the award

  1. By August 15, 2026: Submit your application
  2. September 15–16, 2026: Semifinals with a jury pitch to select the finalists
  3. October 27, 2026: Finals with a festive awards ceremony at Tattersall
