Conversion of foreign driving licenses (EU/EEA countries)
Persons who hold a driving license from a state of the European Union (EU) or the European Economic Area (EEA) may drive motor vehicles in Germany within the scope of their authorization. However, the EU driving license can be exchanged for a German driving license. Further proof is only required if the validity of categories C and D is extended with the exchange.
A personal interview is required for the exchange.
