Online citizens' office

For some matters handled by the Citizens' Office, you do not need to visit in person. Depending on the matter, you can conveniently handle it online—either through a video appointment at the Online Citizens' Office or without an appointment at all via our online services.

VIDEO APPOINTMENT

You can handle the following matters via a video appointment at the Online Citizen Service Center:

  • Apply for a certificate of good conduct
  • Apply for a certificate of residence
  • Notify the city of your move abroad

REQUIRED EQUIPMENT AND DOCUMENTS

  • A PC, tablet, or smartphone with a front-facing webcam and microphone
  • A stable internet connection
  • Your identification document and adequate lighting
  • Please ensure you are in a quiet environment with as little background noise as possible to ensure clear communication; otherwise, a video interview will not be possible.
  • Technical Check: Please perform a technical check in advance (at any time) to verify that your device meets the requirements.

  • When you schedule a video interview, you’ll receive a confirmation email with a link to the video appointment. The consultation takes place in your browser; no software installation is required.
  • During the appointment, the case worker can fill out the necessary documents directly, and you can sign them online.
  • If a fee applies to your request, you can pay it directly via PayPal. The responsible staff member can issue the corresponding service immediately after payment confirmation.
