Guided tour of the Mechtildshausen estate
Discover the historic, picturesque estate on a guided walk and take an exciting look behind the scenes with us. You will also learn everything you need to know about the organic farm! The dates for 2026 will be announced soon.
Run by the Wiesbaden Youth Workshop, Domäne Mechtildshausen is one of the largest estates in Hesse. On a total area of 185 hectares, arable farming, fruit and vegetable gardening, as well as cattle, pigs and poultry are bred according to organic-biological principles.
After the tour, you can purchase baked goods, meat, sausage and cheese produced in the farm's own bakery, butcher's store and cheese dairy in the farm store. In the farm stores and in the "Domänenmarkt" you can buy vegetables, fruit, juices, wines, coffee, oils and much more. Finally, the Café Bohne or the restaurant invites you to enjoy a delicious home-baked cake or a slice of tart.
