Register now for city cycling
On Sunday, May 31, the annual city cycling campaign will start in the state capital with the motto "Making meters together". Until Saturday, June 20, everyone who lives, works, goes to school or belongs to a club in Wiesbaden is invited to cycle as many distances as possible and collect kilometers. The campaign is supported by the Wiesbaden Cycling Office and the ADFC Wiesbaden.
“Three weeks, one challenge: Every kilometer cycled counts! The City Cycling campaign combines climate protection with fun and team spirit. It helps us raise awareness of cycling in everyday life while also showing us what else we can do to specifically improve cycling infrastructure in Wiesbaden,” says Andreas Kowol, Head of the Transportation Department.
Stadtradeln thrives on participation: Whether as an individual, with a group of friends, as a school class, or as a company, everyone can join in—regardless of how often or how much they cycle. Every kilometer cycled helps make Wiesbaden more bike-friendly. Participating is easy: register online, join a team, or start your own. Then log the kilometers you’ve ridden online or track them using the free City Cycling app. A grand raffle among all active participants offers many attractive prizes, including a cycling tour, a bicycle, a balance bike, gift certificates, and more.
To kick things off on Sunday, May 31, the city invites you to a group bike ride followed by a picnic in the Kulturpark am Schlachthof. The meeting point is at 3 p.m. at the Schiller Monument behind the State Theater.
This year, there will be an extensive supporting program to celebrate cycling together, including:
· Wednesday, June 3, 5 p.m.: After-work ride for World Bicycle Day (meeting point: Wiesbaden Central Station/Mainz-Kastel Reduit)
· Thursday, June 11, 6:30 p.m.: Public Cycling Forum of the State Capital of Wiesbaden (Gustav-Stresemann-Ring 15, Montreux/San Sebastian conference room)
· Saturday, June 13, 3:00 p.m.: Kidical Mass for children and families (Dern’sches Gelände, ending at Kulturpark am Schlachthof)
