User climate test 2026: Citizens rate the user-friendliness of digital services in their city.

Since November 1, a nationwide "user experience survey" has been conducted for the first time—a survey of citizens regarding their perceptions of digital services in everyday urban life. The survey will run until April 30, 2026.

The goal of the survey is to find out how citizens experience digital products and services—such as online civic services and apps in an urban context—as well as to paint a realistic picture of the “user experience” in German cities and reflect it in a nationwide city ranking.

All information will be treated anonymously and confidentially.

The survey takes about seven minutes to complete.
