Virtual urban development
Reimagining the city with AI
Can AI help shape the city?
As part of initial pilot projects, the AI tool "Urbanist AI" is being used to test how artificial intelligence can help to develop and visualize ideas and how this can be used in participation formats in the context of urban development.
A special cooperation project is dedicated to the ideas of children: Together with the Children's School Social Work Department of the Office for Social Work, we offer workshops in which primary school children explore their surroundings and then redesign them according to their own wishes with the help of AI. The central question: What would our district look like for children?
This project enables children to play an active role in shaping the city and transform their visions into digital designs. This gives rise to new perspectives and creative ideas for a city worth living in!
The advantages:
- Children learn how to use AI and digital tools
- Innovative ideas for a child-friendly city are developed and presented
- Promotion of children's participation
- Diverse perspectives for urban planning become visible
Who benefits from it?
- Children at selected elementary school in Wiesbaden districts can get involved in a participatory way
- Urban planning and administration receive valuable impulses for child-friendly solutions
- The entire urban community benefits from creative and inclusive ideas for a liveable environment
