SEG Stadtentwicklungsgesellschaft Wiesbaden mbH

With more than 27 years of experience, SEG has become a full-service provider for the regional real estate industry in Wiesbaden.

The focus of our work is urban development projects, particularly through the creation of new sites for residential construction. Our strengths lie in the preparation, management, and support of urban redevelopment processes. Thanks to its many years of experience, SEG is able to respond flexibly to the demands of urban planning on the one hand and the interests of private investors on the other, using entrepreneurial thinking and project-oriented action to implement projects of significant urban planning importance.

In a large number of such projects, SEG has been able to contribute to the implementation of municipal goals in the areas of urban development, the creation and maintenance of municipal facilities, housing provision, and economic development measures. In doing so, it has also been economically successful as a municipal enterprise.

SEG’s history began with the conversion of military sites into the “Europaviertel” and the “Auf der Heide” residential area in Freudenberg. Further conversion projects involving former military and industrial sites followed. With the major “Künstlerviertel” project, a former freight yard was transformed into a new, attractive part of the city with over 600 residential units. SEG is currently developing additional large residential areas, including “Hainweg” in Nordenstadt and the “Zweibörn” area. With the planned “Ostfeld” district, SEG is playing a major role in Wiesbaden’s future development.

Providing all segments of the population with adequate housing, ensuring childcare services through daycare centers, and constructing refugee housing are further highlights of the company’s portfolio. The implementation of its own construction projects, such as those at Bierstadter Höhe, in Biebrich, or at Schiersteiner Hafen, should also be mentioned here, as should the execution of publicly subsidized housing construction in several city districts and the construction of several student dormitories.

Finally, SEG is extensively involved in the implementation of public services, not least in the construction of sports facilities, such as the Rheinhöhe Sports Park.
