Wiesbaden publishes new Education Report 2025: "Integration through education"
The state capital of Wiesbaden has published a new education report. Entitled "Integration through education", the report highlights how education contributes to opening up participation, prospects and opportunities for refugees at all stages of their lives.
Results with a view to all educational phases
The education report combines local and national data with the latest research findings. This makes it clear what progress has already been made, where further action is needed and what measures will make it easier to arrive in Wiesbaden. Here are some of the key findings:
Early access creates opportunities: daycare attendance promotes language, social contacts and stability for children and families.
Language as the key: Language support must be continuous and relevant to life - from daycare to adult education.
Integration succeeds together: Learning together in regular classes, supplemented by targeted support, promotes participation in school and society.
Legal certainty and support: A stable perspective facilitates educational planning; targeted offers for women, single parents and the low-skilled are necessary.
Cooperation as a success factor: Only through the cooperation of educational institutions, city administration, associations and civil society can sustainable integration paths be created.
Education report 2025 builds on 2020
The "Report on the educational participation of disadvantaged people in Wiesbaden", or "Wiesbaden Education Report" for short, was published in 2020 as a new format that for the first time describes the entire life span with all its educational phases based on data. A particular focus was placed on the educational participation of people from disadvantaged backgrounds. The new education report builds on this, continues this perspective and expands it to include a focus on integration.
Invitation to the urban community
The education reports are aimed not only at politicians and administrators, but also at educational institutions, associations, academia and all interested citizens.
