Kitchen renovation of the restaurant in the Kurhaus Wiesbaden
The traditional restaurant in the Kurhaus Wiesbaden is being made fit for the future: TriWiCon, operator of the Kurhaus with the restaurant business, is currently working on a comprehensive renovation concept for the entire Kurhaus Wiesbaden.
TriWiCon, the operator of the Kurhaus with its catering operations, is currently working on a comprehensive refurbishment concept for the entire Kurhaus Wiesbaden.
As a first step towards handing over operations to the new caterer, the plan was to renovate the guest area - in particular the flooring, equipment and ventilation - and to modernize the kitchen and other areas at a later date. A closer examination revealed that the kitchen area of the restaurant also required considerable refurbishment. The continuous operation of the restaurant had previously made comprehensive renovation difficult. Due to the expiry of the lease agreement with Kurhaus Wiesbaden Gastronomie GmbH & Co KG on December 31, 2025, there is now an opportunity to carry out a comprehensive refurbishment of the restaurant. This essentially affects all kitchen areas and logistics areas.
Due to the considerable need for refurbishment, an overall refurbishment is preferred to several individual measures with repeated closures of the restaurant after careful consideration. The restaurant will be closed for the duration of the refurbishment. A reopening is planned for 2027.
New catering concept
"The Kurhaus is a centerpiece of our city - a place with a great tradition. To ensure that it can continue to fulfill this special claim in the future, we must now put the gastronomy on a modern foundation. The refurbishment is an important step towards ensuring quality, safety and attractiveness for guests and employees. On this basis, the business can continue to operate successfully in the long term," emphasizes Mayor and Head of Economic Affairs Christiane Hinninger.
