Office for Social Work
Protection of children and young people
The district social workers are also responsible for protecting children and young people who are neglected, mistreated or abused. People who become aware of children and young people being at risk can report this to the district social workers. The district social workers follow up on such indications of danger to children and young people. In situations in which children and young people need to be protected from danger, solutions are sought with the family and, if necessary, protective measures are taken.
