Royal Dutch Automobile Club
On May 18, 1936, the Royal Dutch Automobile Club signed the Golden Book of the City of Wiesbaden.
The Royal Dutch Automobile Club was founded on July 1, 1883, initially as a cyclists' association. Although it opened up to motorized vehicles, hikers, horse riders, water and winter sports enthusiasts and campers at the beginning of the 20th century, it still sees itself as an association for two-wheelers and is still a member of the European Cyclists' Federation. With over 4 million members, it is the largest association in the Netherlands.
In 1905, the name was changed to the "Royal Tourist Association" due to the expansion of the membership. The association also visited Wiesbaden on one of its many trips in 1936. On May 18, the members of the board signed the city's Golden Book.
