The Administration department is the central organizational unit of the Wiesbaden Fire Department. It manages operational and administrative tasks, ensures efficient internal processes and supports the specialist departments in the implementation of their tasks.
The department consists of three specialist areas. The employees ensure compliance with legal and administrative requirements and work closely with the other offices of the city administration, the department and, in particular, the other departments of the fire department. This ensures the efficiency and effectiveness of the fire department at all levels.
General administration
The department sees itself as a central service provider for Office 37. One of its core tasks is the preparation and calculation of fire department fees (statutes). This includes, in particular, the preparation of fee notices for fire department services - from checking the facts of the case on the basis of deployment reports to the preparation of notices and support in any appeal proceedings. The department is also responsible for internal mail distribution.
Personnel administration
The department is responsible for the administration and coordination of employees and civil servants throughout Office 37. Its tasks include organizational activities and services within the professional fire department. This includes personnel planning with a special focus on recruiting, job descriptions, staffing procedures and personnel development, particularly with regard to promotions and, for example, advancement procedures in the higher and higher fire department. In addition, ancillary personnel files are maintained and inquiries relating to personnel, collective bargaining and civil service law are processed, checked or forwarded.
Controlling and purchasing
The department is responsible for the planning, administration and targeted use of the Wiesbaden Fire Department's financial resources. The focus here is on the economical, efficient and needs-based use of resources.
The tasks include the implementation of procurement and purchasing requirements in all areas of the fire department as well as process management in accounting. The area of responsibility also includes preparing the budget, monitoring budget implementation, assisting with the annual financial statements and further developing ordering and purchasing processes to optimize the use of resources.
The aim of the employees is to ensure transparency, efficiency and reliable financing so that the Wiesbaden Fire Department can fulfill its fire and disaster protection tasks in the best possible way.
