DSAG Technology Days
The DSAG Technology Days are one of the most important events for the SAP community in German-speaking countries - a forum for strategy, technology, innovation and networking. The RMCC offered the ideal setting for this: modern, flexible and scalable.
Implementation in the RMCC
Room layout and procedure
- Day 1:
- Grand opening plenary in Hall North B+C (opens in a new tab) for around 2,500 guests.
- Parallel streaming in the Terrace Hall A+B (opens in a new tab) for an additional 500 guests.
- Exhibition in Hall South (opens in a new tab) and Hall North A with over 40 partners.
- Catering areas in all relevant foyers and galleries - flexible seating with high tables, bar stools and seats.
- Day 2:
- Focus on parallel sessions, exhibition and networking - Hall North B+C has already been dismantled in parallel, without disrupting the ongoing event thanks to soundproof partition walls.
The complete use of the entire building was particularly impressive: all the halls, studios, boxes, terrace hall and foyers were used and fitted perfectly with a wide variety of seating and catering concepts.
Challenges and solutions
- Visitor guidance for large numbers of participants:
- Solution by local security and hostess staff (WISAG) and digital wayfinding system.
- Conversion to evening event day 1:
- Conversion of the central foyer (opens in a new tab) by Partyrent during the lecture times: Dismantling of selected bar tables and installation of casino tables.
- Detailed double planning (daytime/evening use) enabled smooth transitions.
- Direct conversion to follow-up conference TechXChange:
- After the end of the event on day 2, overnight conversion from row seating to parliamentary seating.
- Flexible room division using mobile partition walls.
- VA technology was already installed in advance to minimize changeover times.
- Catering with top performance:
- Catering by GAUL CATERING with numerous stations - thus avoiding queues despite 3,000 guests.
- Intensified cleaning capacities for tables after breaks and between event days.
Implementation in the RMCC
Special cooperation
The successful implementation was characterized by close and professional cooperation between all partners involved:
- The RMCC team and its service partners took over essential services (furniture, logistics, technology) directly.
- A large part of the media technology in the plenum and the stand construction was provided by customer service providers - synergies were used efficiently and coordinated seamlessly.
