Fräulein Quellgeflüster: What makes the food scene in Wiesbaden so special?
Julia: Wiesbaden is super diverse - you can find everything from down-to-earth Hessian cuisine to creative fine dining experiences and authentic world cuisine. Wine and sparkling wine play a particularly important role - the city is located in the immediate vicinity of the Rheingau. Exciting fact: Wiesbaden has the most Italian restaurants per capita, especially excellent pizzerias.

Quellgeflüster: Where is a nice place to sit outside in summer?
Julia: I like the Caspar Garden (opens in a new tab) in Adolfsallee, where you can sit idyllically by the fountain, or the Lounge 1907 (opens in a new tab) directly behind the Kurhaus with a view of the park pond. One of my favorite places is the Château Nero (opens in a new tab) on the Neroberg, where you can end the day with a glass of Riesling and let your gaze wander over the city.

Fräulein Quellgeflüster: And where is it particularly nice inside?
Julia: The Forsthaus Rheinblick (opens in a new tab) and the Weinhaus Sinz (opens in a new tab) are very cozy and both offer excellent German regional cuisine. If you like it stylish, you should stop by Y Wine & Kitchen (opens in a new tab) in Mauergasse. There are also many cozy cafés. A special address is delikt (opens in a new tab) im Alten Gericht - a day bar with breakfast and lunch!

Fräulein Quellgeflüster: What are your favorite places for a wine or cocktail?
Julia: There are lots of nice wine bars in Mauergasse. I like to have a cocktail in the Manoamano Bar (opens in a new tab) in Taunusstraße, in Bar 7 (opens in a new tab) with its cool view and especially in Bar 1486 (opens in a new tab) in the Radisson Blu Hotel Schwarzer Bock. In this cozy bar, I like the intimate atmosphere, the combination of historical ambience, modern art and really sensational cocktails. A regional adaptation of the famous Singapore Sling is served here - the Rheingau Sling, be sure to try it!

Fräulein Quellgeflüster: Which restaurant has a special concept?
Julia: Mi (opens in a new tab) comes to mind - a combination of art gallery and restaurant. Nowhere else in Wiesbaden can you eat such authentic Korean food as at Ho-Jeong Reinbacher in the Westend.

Fräulein Quellgeflüster: Where is a particularly good place to eat exotic food?
Julia: Particularly exotic ingredients are used at Huacas Peru (opens in a new tab), the only Peruvian restaurant in Wiesbaden - from black corn to manioc roots, plantains and guava!

Quellgeflüster: What would an ideal culinary day look like for you?
Julia: I would have breakfast at Café ahoi (opens in a new tab), lunch at Mi, a pre-dinner drink at Bar 1486 and then dinner at Schwarzbach (opens in a new tab) on Taunusstraße and a nightcap at Bar 7.
