Restaurant Hinkelhaus - Hesse à la carte

Restaurant Hinkelhaus in Wiesbaden was awarded the "Hessen à la carte" award and the red and white "Hessen à la carte" sign.

In 1901, Julius and Wilhelmine Rieser built the "Hinkelhaus Restaurant". In addition to the restaurant, a hall was also built in which dances, fruit and timber auctions were held.

Walter and Luise Rieser ran the property through the difficult times of the Second World War and the post-war period. Their son Waldemar and his wife Rosemarie took over the restaurant and tree nursery in 1967. The "Hinkelhaus" took on its current appearance in 1983 when the dance hall was rebuilt. Wolfgang Rieser and his wife Karin have been running the restaurant since January 1, 2001. In July 2001, the "Hinkelhaus" celebrated its centenary.
