If your lost item is included, please contact us by e-mail or, from 02.01.2026, by telephone.
Please also note:
The lost and found office can be reached by telephone until 23.12.2025 at 12 noon.
The lost and found office will be closed from 24.12.2025 up to and including 01.01.2026.
From 02.01.2026 we will be there for you again in person.
You are welcome to send us an e-mail between the years. We will be happy to answer your message in the new year.
Report lost items: If you have lost something, you can report it directly via our online form. Answer the questions asked and simply enter a detailed description of the lost item and we will record the loss in our system. Your loss report will be stored for 6 months.
Receive notifications: If a lost item is found that matches your description, you will automatically receive a notification with all the necessary information for collection. This gives you the opportunity to react quickly and get your property back.
Subsequent changes and canceling the report: You can subsequently edit or cancel your lost property report. Once you have entered your details, you will either be shown a personal link or this will be sent to you. To ensure that only you have access to your data, please set a password that is required to open the loss report via this link. If you do not set a password, no personal link will be sent to you for subsequent processing of your loss report.
Processing time
Please note that experience has shown that it can take up to four weeks for lost property to be handed in to us.
Please also note that, depending on the location, it may take even longer for the lost item to be found and handed in. Supermarkets, drugstores, shopping centers, event locations and similar places initially keep lost property themselves in the hope that the losers will contact them directly. Only then is it passed on to the lost and found office.
For this very reason, it is advisable to report lost property online. It ensures that your loss is recorded directly and remains stored with us for a period of 6 months. This enables us to notify you quickly as soon as your lost item has been handed in.

Remark
If your lost item is handed in and can be identified by your name and address, we will contact you even without a loss report - usually by post.
Please note that the confirmation of the online loss report is not recognized by most insurance companies and consulates as an official certificate of loss.
