Prof. Dr. med. Richard Siebeck
On May 1, 1957, Prof. Dr. med. Richard Siebeck signed the Golden Book of the City of Wiesbaden.
Richard Siebeck was born in Freiburg on April 10, 1883.
After studying medicine in Tübingen, Freiburg and Berlin, he worked as an assistant at the Heidelberg Medical Clinic from 1908, which appointed him a private lecturer in 1912 and professor in 1918.
In 1924, Prof. Dr. med. Siebeck took over the Chair of Internal Medicine at the University of Bonn and became Head of the Clinic for Internal Medicine there. Between 1931 and 1934, he returned to Heidelberg before taking up a chair in Berlin from 1934 to 1941 and becoming head of the first medical clinic at the Charité. In 1941, he finally returned to Heidelberg until his retirement in 1952.
In retirement, he became increasingly involved in the Society for Internal Medicine. As part of this organization, he also took part in the 64th congress of the society in Wiesbaden in 1957.
On May 1, a reception was held in the town hall, at which Prof. Dr. med. Siebeck was entered into the Golden Book as a cultural award winner of the state capital of Wiesbaden alongside the board of the Society for Internal Medicine.
Prof. Dr. med. Richard Siebeck died on May 15, 1965 in Heidelberg.
