Domäne Mechtildshausen - Hesse à la carte
Domäne Mechtildshausen has been certified by "Hessen á la carte": Three Lions for regionality, quality and sustainability.
Award for Domäne Mechtildshausen: The traditional estate, which has been managed by the Wiesbaden Youth Workshop since 1987, has been awarded the certificate for regionality, quality and sustainability by "Hessen á la carte", the oldest regional quality association in Germany. The award was preceded by a certification process based on a ten-point list of criteria, which also focused on product quality and authenticity.
The certificate from "Hessen á la carte", the cooperation of Hessian regional cuisine, is both recognition of our work and an incentive for us. Mayor Christiane Hinninger is delighted that Domäne Mechtildshausen has been awarded the seal of approval. In the company, which is run as an educational institution, young people and young adults can complete high-quality training and further education. All products and services at the domain are produced to the highest quality standards and with sustainability in mind, and this also includes the catering establishments such as the restaurant, where the menu features high-quality, excellently crafted dishes made primarily from produce grown on the domain.
Three lions and the red and white "Hessen á la carte" sign serve as a guide for guests, so they can be sure that the food and dishes come from Hessian products and are of high quality.
Hesse à la carte
There are now 128 "Hessen á la carte" establishments throughout Hessen. A total of 38 Hessian establishments will receive a certificate this year. Among them is the "Forsthaus Rheinblick" on the outskirts of Wiesbaden, which received the award and the red and white "Hessen à la carte" sign on September 25, 2024.
In the state capital as well as in the WIESBADEN RHEINGAU destination, numerous very different establishments have committed themselves to regionality, quality and sustainability and have undergone the certification process. In Wiesbaden, these already include Tillys Café Walz, the Hinkelhaus restaurant in Auringen and the Kellerskopf restaurant.
In the Rheingau, the seal of approval for regionality, quality and sustainability has now also been awarded this year to Nägler's Restaurant Friedrichs Wine & Dine in the wine hotel "Zum Grünen Kranz" in Rüdesheim, Agathes Gute Küche in Walluf and the Hotel Lindenwirt in Rüdesheim. Zum Krug in Hattenheim and the Kisselbach winery in Erbach have already received awards.
