Tourist Information receives i-Mark: Quality seal confirmed for three years

The Tourist Information Wiesbaden, Marktplatz 1, has successfully passed the recertification with the i-Mark of the German Tourism Association (DTV). This means that it can carry the nationally recognized seal of quality for tested service and information quality for a further three years. The i-Mark is a reliable sign of orientation for guests and stands for high standards in tourist information offices throughout Germany.

“This successful recertification confirms that the Tourist Information Center continues to meet high quality standards and offers visitors a knowledgeable, service-oriented, and modern point of contact,” says Christiane Hinninger, Head of Economic Affairs and Mayor.

“At the same time, the certification serves as an incentive to continuously develop our offerings and meet the rising expectations in tourism. By once again receiving the i-mark, the Tourist Information Center underscores its commitment to providing reliable, high-quality information and services,” says Martin Michel, Managing Director of Wiesbaden Congress & Marketing GmbH, which is responsible for operating the Tourist Information Center.

As part of the audit, the Tourist Information Office was evaluated based on a comprehensive and standardized set of criteria—and anonymously. In addition to the basic minimum requirements, independent auditors from the DTV reviewed around 40 additional criteria. These included, among other things, infrastructure, the exterior and interior appearance, the quality of advice and service, the range of services offered, and the degree of digitalization.

A special focus was placed on sustainability-related aspects. This aspect was met in particular through the selection of predominantly local and regional products and souvenirs. To this end, the Tourist Information works with artisans and regional producers, some of whom create exclusive, extraordinary, and above all sustainable items through special production runs—ranging from gin from Wiesbaden, a wide selection of wines from various regional wineries, to paintings of Wiesbaden by local artists.

The Tourist Information Center offers guests a comprehensive range of services for their stay and experiences in Wiesbaden and the Rheingau—from information on sights and excursions to hotel reservations and numerous tips on art, culture, and culinary delights. Residents also benefit from a diverse range of services and shopping options: these include advance ticket sales for theaters, concerts, and cultural events, Wiesbaden gift certificates, as well as regional souvenirs and gift ideas. The Tourist Information office is open Monday through Saturday from 10:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.
