Sensor Bike
A sensor is a measuring device.
Bike is the English word for bicycle.
It is spoken: Beik
We collect data on bicycle traffic
At Sensor Bike, we conduct research together with citizens.
30 citizens are taking part.
They all cycle a lot.
The citizens built their own measuring device in a course in May 2025.
The citizens collect data with the measuring device.
For example:
1. how well can you ride on the road?
Is it smooth or bumpy?
2. do cars have at least 1.50 meters distance when overtaking?
We want to find out
whether cycling in Wiesbaden is dangerous.
And we want to build more cycle paths.
The research lasts 6 months.
We collect all the results from the cyclists.
