Wiesbaden's "Harbourside" can be created directly at the Schiersteiner Hafen by reorganizing and further developing an as yet undeveloped brownfield site. High-quality office space is to be realized on three building plots, preserving the historic harbour atmosphere and completing the harbour promenade in an architecturally sophisticated way.
High-quality open spaces will also be created which, in addition to making optimum use of the site areas, will also allow the maritime flair to be experienced and provide an unrestricted view of the harbour. The new landmark building will be up to 25 meters high and will shape the new silhouette of the harbour basin.
The first construction phase of the "Harbourside", named "Marina Blue", will be realized on the eastern section of the harbour. The building is directly connected to the waterfront promenade and the Schierstein harbor basin via a spacious flight of steps with seating blocks. The loft-like new building will have three floors plus a staggered storey and is accessed via a central entrance from Hafenweg. The underground garage and all floors above can be reached via a spacious passenger elevator. The loft-like offices will have loggias or folding-sliding elements, all with an unrestricted view of Schierstein harbor.
Two large terraces on the first floor can be used for outdoor catering, for example. In the basement there will be parking spaces for cars, a disabled toilet, storage areas and parking spaces for bicycles.
Location
The new "Harbourside" development is located in Wiesbaden's Schierstein district and has ideal connections to the region's most important traffic hub - the Schiersteiner Kreuz junction. The A66 and A671 highways can be reached in less than five minutes. Frankfurt Airport is just 25 kilometers away and can be reached quickly and easily by car or train. The main railway station can be reached in just ten minutes, and there are public transport stops within walking distance of the Schiersteiner Hafen on Rheingaustraße and Storchenallee. Well-known industrial and service companies are among the prestigious neighbors.
